Beef Burgers with Crispy Honey Parmesan Mushrooms
Ingredients:
Burgers (Makes six small burgers. Double the ingredients for large patties.)
- 1 package of ground beef (we recommend 96% lean/4% fat)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp dried chives
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Mushrooms
- 1 package of button or baby portobello mushrooms (slice lengthwise/into strips)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Wedderspoon Raw Beechwood Honey
- 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- A pinch of all-purpose flour
- Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
- Bring beef to room temperature before making patties. In a bowl, add beef and seasonings; combine well. Form into six patties. Grill or cook in a skillet to desired temperature (about six minutes for medium-sized burgers).
- In a skillet sprayed with nonstick spray, add sliced mushrooms. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, herbs, spices, garlic and mushrooms. Cook on medium-high heat, mixing frequently. Drizzle with Wedderspoon honey and continue to mix. Once mushrooms start to soften and brown, add the pinch of flour and the rest of the oil. Mix again and once the mushrooms are crisp, transfer to a bowl and toss with remaining Parmesan cheese.
